Do you have an amp that ended your quest for tone?

Marshall JVM Satriani.

Love everything about the amp. The tone is exactly what I have been looking for. Bonus with the noise gates and mid shift.

:)

Fender Twin and JCM 800 with boost pedals pretty much does everything I want/need.

I like to try other amps when I can and bring them in and out when the opportunity arises.

Recto + Mark.

My first two tube amps were a Recto and a Mark III. Sold them to try new things and after a few years I wound up with a Roadster and a Mark V.

I don't know what it is about those two amps but despite being different there's something in their voice and feel that just seems right to me.

And as a bonus their versatility has allowed them to grow with me. I'm not stuck wanting to change amps every time my tastes change for a few months.

In fact, I would dump everything else...my amps, guitars, bike, car, liquor collection.......
Your Liquor collection???

Thats just crazy talk.

I can rebuild a liquor collection. Already lost a third of it when I trusted the wrong "friend". The worst was loosing scotches brought to me by several real bros when they would visit me from overseas. And I cant get that Australian over-proofed rum over here at all....that sucked. Worse, my "friend" who screwed me made me feel like the dick.

By the way, hop-scotch is much more challenging when you use real scotch.

Now that sounds like a fun afternoon my friend!

My JCM 900 definitely has slowed the urge to find more amps... (Yes yes, I know... Not the best Marshall out there, but it kicks ass to my ear.) My GK 800RB was the end-all for the bass rig... I'm still checking out the Sansamps but as far as heads go, the search stopped there.

Bogner 20th XTC for rock and Bogner Twin Jet for the heavy stuff. The rest is just gravy...

It's nice to see a lot of people seem to find their tone in such vastly different amps.
I wasn't too clear on my initial post. But I think it's normal for us ampheads to still wonder about other amps. But I feel like there's just one amp out there for each one of us that we can't let go.
Sure, I want an amp for my cleans, one for slight overdrive, one for distortion rhythm and one for leads, ideally. But Mk is going nowhere and has been defining my rhythm and lead sound for 5 years now.

(we all know I started this thread to get some GAS for another amp)

71' Super Lead Friedman modded.

There are plenty of amps I'd love to own, but I can't justify it every time I plug into mine.

Amps in my sig. Really it ended with the splawn street rod to get that tone, the pt covers any bases left over.....like one of the best cleans on the planet for example lol. I don't look for amps or effects anymore...but there's always room for more guitars lol.

Bogner XTC 101A
Nice  Never played a 101A.

Been happy with my 101B.

Different flavors are fun and switching or adding amps keeps it interesting.

Cornford MK50, for me...but that probably has as much to do with me not playing much, as any other factor
