I like him and watch all his videos. He usually has good tones. I shut this one off early but then I was never a Rectifier fan either.
Warm + Brite would be the normal settings for the reactive load. If you turn them off, you don't get any reactive load which is NOT what you want. So in this sense, the high end is over-hyped on the reactive load part in his video due to the "Edge" setting.If you think that sucked, watch his Bogner Ecstasy 101b or Friedman BE 100 Deluxe vids. Shitty sound. He's a big studio guy posting dull-sounding vids, IMO
PS, and as dull as the Dual Rec vid is-
@BigHairyGuitars
Everything was run through Fryette Power Station load box set to (Warm + Edge)
Falsely representing the tones on the amp. Everybody knows Warm and Edge on the Fryette PS CHANGE THE SOUND.
Good to know. His demos are still dullWarm + Brite would be the normal settings for the reactive load. If you turn them off, you don't get any reactive load which is NOT what you want. So in this sense, the high end is over-hyped on the reactive load part in his video due to the "Edge" setting.
There are many iconic album tones that disagree with thatYou gotta crank the mids to 2-3 o’clock on the older rectos. Not the best demo. But I will dissent and say I dig the guys videos.
