Fri July 17 Reb Beach filled in on guitar for Dokken, musically they sound great. But Don holy shit he sounds like he's drunk. I know he's 67 and hasn't sang well in many years but this is pathetic. It's sad to see, being a Dokken fan. I've seen them a couple of times over the years with Classic line up.

Wow, that is the worst I've ever seen him. He is definitely drunk or high. Good lord. He actually had been doing some singing and gigs even up to this past year and was actually pretty good. He can't hit the notes like he used to but was in tune and not stumbling around, etc.

Man, that was awful, just awful.

This is just a year ago. There was actually some better songs/videos from this gig but figured I'd put this song for a good comparison.

That was way worse than any Ozzy or Stephen Pearcy performance I've ever seen....and that's really saying something

I guess if I didn't pay anything for that I'd just offer my condolences and walk away but Don - or someone - is just robbing people if they're charging for that...

I’d be fucking pissed if I paid for that. Hats off to Reb though.

There comes a moment when you have to realize you just can't do it anymore...Father Time always wins. My last gig was in 17 when I was 50, I can't imagine trying to play out at almost 70.
On another note, unless it's absolutely necessary I'd avoid any back surgery. My wife and I are both in the medical field and we both see so many unsuccessful procedures; I'd say 70% of people regret even having the surgery in the first place.

Yeah dude, I'm with you on that. All of my friends are like "you need to start a band and do shows!!!!". I'm like "bitch, you see how I'm hunkered over with two hernia surgeries and occasional pain in my lower back, neck and hands?". LOL. I turned 50 this year and I'd do "some" shows with my buddies but there is no way I could be in a band and trying to make money. No way.

I've heard that about back surgery. Man, that really sucks. You get something done and then it doesn't help.

OMG, he would have been kicked out of a karaoke bar for that performance! Backup vocals sounded good though.

Shame on the band too! Everyone needs a payday but shit! They’re all part of the “stick up”!

Bummer to see Don like this. I’m a huge Dokken fan. I’ll have to remember them for what they were.

yeah....I knew he was going through hell with after the back surgery, nerve issues and couldn't use his hands. Gets depressing on the ego...He's trying to make a living, I get that. Dokken do mostly fly in gigs. No tour buses, just come in and get out. don't sell Merch or nothing. I wish them the best...I know they are talking of a new album coming out, but I don't see how they can support it?

Is he really hurting for money that he's willing to embarrass himself like that? How sad.

its a fascinating thing to me how we see this same exact thread year after year after year, and im sure we will continue to see in the coming years. i give Dokken a lot of credit, he has got a fan base with undying support like no other band or person ive seen. its the fans keeping the bullshit going

Good Christ, he sounded like a kid with Down syndrome doing karaoke.

Other than Ratt, Dokken is one of the bands that has been a cycle of frustration for me. Over the years I'd read some article about a "possible reunion", etc. and finally it got to the point where I didn't give a crap. Nobody did. Even if all four members got back together and did some type of tour, it's too late.

I feel bad for so many of these guys. Look at Vince Neil. Guy has a ton of money, band back on top thanks to an autobiographical movie, and he can't stay away from the tequila and hamburgers.
