Don't underestimate the importance of pedal cables and tone

I just got some Ernie Ball cables for my pedalboard and replaced some standard brand ones that were on there. It was like I turned on an EQ pedal or something. I was shocked at how it improved my tone. Less harsh, more low end, etc.

Don't forget the speaker cable from head to speaker. Same thing happened to me when I upgraded my cable, night and day difference in a good way.

Do you rewire the inside of your cabs too? A lot good a high quality speaker cable will do if the last 3 feet is shit cable inside the cab. Lol

I do rewire my cabs… Not because of sound, while I use a higher quality (high strand, oxygen free, low capacitance) wire, I do it more to make jumpers with clips to make changing speakers out easier.

I’ve noticed a little difference when I used Mogami cable. Better?, not sure about that. I always found I could achieve the same result by just tweaking the EQ. But if you guys feel your tone improves that much from a hundred dollar cable go for it.

My patch cables were pretty generic if I remember correctly and just grabbed a bunch of them.
