I’ve heard better playing by members on this board. God that was painful. I know he’s capable of so much more, must have been an off night for him.

I'm a huge fan of his playing - Lion, Bad Moon Rising, Burning Rain, his solo stuff & the Live DIO DVD... after that. his tone & playing changed quite a bit.
Still think he's killer and a great guy by all accounts - but he used to have more fire in his playing & better tone.

I mean, dude is 60+, went through cancer. I'll cut him a little slack for not having as much fire at a clinic for a practice amp as he did trying to break through 30-40 years ago.
