I'm a huge fan of his playing - Lion, Bad Moon Rising, Burning Rain, his solo stuff & the Live DIO DVD... after that. his tone & playing changed quite a bit.
Still think he's killer and a great guy by all accounts - but he used to have more fire in his playing & better tone.

I definitely agree with you. His solo on Can't Find My Way Home from House of Lords is an all-timer for me, and his work with Hurricane, BMR, etc. was great.

I don't think he was that bad here..like an average night for Lynch. Some great bits and some misses bit iverall a good vibe. He also said he wrote that a long time ago and age does come into it at a certain point so I give him a pass.
