Outdoor venue would be the test.Doesn't sound bad, actually.
Are they back to building in Korea, or Chyna? The test would be if it arrived from Sweetwater in working condition.
I wouldn’t mind having one of these, but I don’t trust Blackstar

If it were "hand wired" might consider, but if its mass produced PCB prolly pass as ive heard some blackstar stories.
I had a 5150Ii I used live for 5 years . Got beat up . Never change any tubes the entire time . It sounded the fucking same Everytime I turned it on . It was the most consistent amp ever . The indicator light was only thing that ever stopped working on it ever . I wish I had it stillThey don’t release schematics and they are extremely challenging to repair given the complexity for the low cost.
I want one just to have around for a practice amplifier but I’d prefer a modded Marshall for better build quality. It has 6 voices but they could be condensed into 3 major ones and do just as well.
I also think all of the additional digital stuff makes it super risky to gig or carry around. If it drops off a cabinet you’re pretty fucked - I’ve seen 5150’s fall off a cabinet and keep on going just fine. I’m not a fan of toaster oven tube amps that are super fragile and insanely complex with no ability to repair them easily.
