I watch this from time to time when I feel like giving up up all hope. Doug is ridiculous!

Some of the stuff he plays (like the passage from :40 to :46) reminds me of Marty Friedman. Doug has his own thing going on though. Excellent player with tons of soul who also happens to melt faces.

He made that LP his bitch. I really admire a player who can play that well on an LP while playing it above the 12th fret.

There's a video of him playing a SS-100, my SS-100 at tone merchants. The amp was ready ready to ship but they asked if I could hang loose for a few more days, as Doug was coming in and wanted to try it and it was the only one ready to Rock. I asked them to leave the amp at the settings he liked... It came with all knobs at zero...fuck! Wish I had an ounce of his technique. Awesome player
