I have owned multiple amps for pretty much as long as I could afford to. And when I say multiple, I mean 5 or 6 at any given time and up to 15 at one point.

After many years of amp whoring, I have come to the conclusion that I am a hot rodded Marshall and Mesa Mark series guy (though I do still love me some VHT tone, particularly the Green channel on the CL)

I am down to:

Mesa Mark IIC+ (Thank you psychodave!) and Henning Cherry Bomb (Thank you Steve for making a STELLAR amp!).

Have been using just these two amps for a couple months now and other than maybe getting another CL, I can't think of another amp I would like to own. Feels good after YEARS of the amp merry-go-round!

Congrats man. I was on the wagon for a couple years.
Fell off and back on the Merry go round for a little fun.
Got a few new goodies coming in soon. :D

I hear ya.... I used to have a couple Friedmans, Gower, and Diezel in the house at same time.... but time and life has changed, and currently ampLESS. No fun and uninspiring.

Currently in the process of trying to save up some funds/sell off gear I don't 'need' and get a Bogner 20th Anniv Shiva in the house. Most likely my last amp for a long, long time if I can get my hands on one. Cheers

Kind of sounds like someone is ready for a new amp

I was the same way for years too. Now I'm down to my 2 live amps (Diezel VH4 and Mesa Roadster) and my practice/home rig (Mesa Mini Recitifer).

As much as I loved having all of those amps, it was harder to find the time to use them all, so sent them to some good homes.

That's two insanely great amps to have, from two pretty cool guys. I would love to have either of those. Congrats!

(Checking my bank accounts now without my girlie watching me. Damn...nothing but lint)

in amp nirvana at the moment and I want to close the deal with a Kemper profiler to put them in that brain in the event I need to scale back. I do know that my Wizard MC2, Marshall Super Tremelo, 77 JMP, Divided by 13, Supro knockoff, SLO clone and Landry are going nowhere. Some of the other stuff may not make the cut later. I still laugh how that dude that used to spam everyone here modified a stock JMP to Friedman when he should just f'ing bought one

but starting to develop a guitar problem now....relic's, specifically Strat's.

I can totally related! I was ampless for about 6 months. I finally found what I was looking for. It is the only one I will have for a long time. It is truly inspiring to play it each and every time.

good luck with your search and I hope you get what you want!

As you all know..I've had almost everything and anything over the years and I am done. My current and last rig has a value of under $1200.00 probably way under but does the job..

What's the rig?

Same rig I've always used (in a band context) no matter what amp or amps I might have at the time.
Marshall JMP-1 preamp
Randall RT 2/50 power amp thats new to me and I got it as a project
Alesis quadraverb
JCM 800 1960A that's beat to hell but sounds great
I'm just basing my rigs value on what I paid for each piece

I have used just an AxeFX-II for the past few years and have barely had G.A.S. for a new amp. I think a lot of it is because I just play at home and doing a lot of recordings now. To be honest though, I'd love a Friedman. :)

I am down to a 1974 Marshall Friedman modded and a green Purplexi. I do have 6 cabs, two at church, one at the drummer's house, one in my den, and two in the basement practice room. All I need for church and band practice is a guitar, head, and cable bag.

Two amps for me too!! Gower Killer Kali++ and Cameron Atomica!!! Not really counting my Peavy Vypyer 30 and the Yamaha THR10X.

Awesome Tony. It's a great feeling isn't it? I've been down to just one for a while now (but I admit I have a Voodoo modded Egnater Rebel on the way).

Down to one...sort of. Mesa Mark 2C+ SRG combo, and my new to me thing is slaving it into one side of a newly acquired Strategy 400 into 2 cabs... V30 and G12 65s. Massively monstrous. Guitars are climbing though....'85 USA Charvel, 78 LP custom, Agile 3010....and I just ordered a used 2008 USA Charvel SD1 off GC.com....599....just couldn't help myself....
