I recently acquired one of these from a guy insisting it needed new tubes, so I was expecting potential issues. It had a strange smell, and when I opened it up, it was pretty hard not to instantly notice this

They're so fried that there's no way to see the values, one shedded a coat as soon as I touched it lol. I can't find any schematics or gut shots close enough to figure out the values and was curious if anyone here might know? It's pin 1 - 5 on a 15W 6v6 power section if that helps at all? I'm sure dr z will respond, but they're usually pretty slow and I want to get this playing yesterday.

I'm an electrician, I don't mind poking and prodding if anyone has advice. Is there any downstream damage I should be looking for? Nothing else in plain sight looks suspect.
 
Never seen a cure 15, so I don't know the power section - you might be able to contact Z to find out the values though?
 
On a 6v6 socket, pin 1 has no connection, and pin 5 is the input grid.
In this case, it looks like they used pin 1 as a mounting point for 1 end of the input grid stopper resistors, which is pretty standard.
No idea how those resistors could have gotten smoked, unless some idiot tried to run EL34'S in that amp.
You are going to have to wait for some guidance from Dr Z on this one.
Never seen grid resistors get smoked like that.
Very strange.
Edit: if it is a fixed bias amp, your bias voltage flows through there as well. If those resistors are open, you will instantly smoke any tubes you try to run in there, as the tube will not receive any bias voltage. Caution is advised.

There's no way the man responsible didn't notice lol. It's cathode biased, but I'm still hesitant to flick it on. I've seen a few fried grid resistors, but those are excessively dramatic looking! I've emailed Z already, they've always been helpful in my experience, just not too quick. I'm more or less hoping someone else out there has an unmolested 6v6 model and is willing to open it up. There's a few decent techs around me, but I imagine they'll look for the same info I am.

I'll post the solution should I find it!
