Drugatic band members.

Well got a great guitarist n just to find out he's a fucking druggy. Hard drugs. Found out he was on warped tour w his band n blew a huge show. I am so fucking sick of dealing with these fucking people. :doh: Liars! Ad says no drugs no alcoholics no drama guess that isn't clear enough. Maybe should do drug testing on ppl lol. He is a fantastic player but not worth baggage. Band ain't called southwest n baggage don't hang free!
 
Honestly I wouldn't let it bother me unless they started becoming unreliable. Then I would take action but if he's cool, isn't trying to get you into it, keeping it to himself, being reliable and on time I personally wouldn't care. That's just me though.
 
i go opposite on that.

heroin and crack addicts will bankrupt themselves and everyone around them....only a matter of time before shit end up "missing".

Yep. Came to practice fucked already. We had a guy playing w us. We were opening for kittie n he ended up in jail the night before the show. DRUGS.
Ya know the ad says no drugs that means no drugs. I wish u fucking drug addicts would pull your fucking heads out of your asses n realize its no good. U destroy yourself n those around you.

Unless he is the next golden god of the guitar world, I would get rid of him. Nothing good comes

The guy is a virtuoso but that doesn't excuse his addiction. Doesn't excuse anyone's. If I didn't care about drugs the ad would not have read NO Drugs.
 
Some of the bands I've been in I needed to be on drugs. :lol: :LOL:
 
had a singer like that...he was just fucking incredible..but could NEVER stay out of jail cause of drugs.... and always was leary of him having keys to the practice space...esp after getting there early and seeing him sleeping on the couch... ugh.... he could fuckin sing though.


i'm not referring to weed, or, for that matter, even acid or shrooms...typical stoner shit.

i'm talking crack, herion and coke...the dude was hardcore into the shit too...all of it.

If your on drugs pull your head out of your ass or disappear to a lost island were no one gives a fuck n u can't disturb the perfectly sane ppl!
 
I'm all for people doing whatever they want to themselves as long as it doesn't affect others. Just don't expect anyone to trust you or count on you.

Don't these guys know you're supposed to get famous THEN kill yourself with drugs?
 
Addictions always come first...deal with the issue now or you will be left hanging at the most in opportune time
 
I'm not defending guys hooked on the hard stuff by any means, but let's not lose sight of the fact that it isn't easy to just stop doing heroin or crack if you've been doing it for awhile. They're called "addicts" because they are addicted.

Try telling a degenerate gambler to stop going to the casino.

You can give people with addictions all the pros and cons you want, but it usually doesn't change a thing. These are diseases that often need to be professionally treated.

And no, I'm not on the "horse" myself. :D
 
had a great friend of mine with a bassist that was a drug addict. lit up a bag of weed in my friends own driveway between practice sets - that was the last straw. total ill-regard for people around them and the drugs always come first.

total air head, last i heard from him he was still doing shrooms and the likes. what a way to throw your life down the drain.
