It would not have taken a genius to scroll through the names on the first page to find the first "Dan". As far as I can tell he polished bombs, scrubbed the deck, and maybe did a little KP?

He's claimed both to have been in combat and have been stationed in areas where combat was taking place around him. Comparing that to the branch, time, place, ship, etc. he's said to have served the two provably do not line up. So he's either lying about serving or lying about combat. I suspect it's the latter. Lying about that is disparaging troops who served during times of conflict and saw combat 1st hand; AKA stolen valor.

He's also claimed to have fought in the Vietnam war which is provably false. It's how he got the nickname of De Nang Dan around here.
