RESIDENT ROCK PROFESSOR
I get to play Malcom . JVMs are really fun amps .
I borrowed an old one since he had his . We used channel 2 orange . Lower gainKiller...feel like JVMs are making a bit of a comeback around here.
My students playing Slipknot used a 210 hereHell yeah those are sitting great in the mix. JVMs have this modern-vintage vibe that sounds great.
I tend to prefer the 210H myself. The tonestack locations aren’t the same between the 210H and the 410H series.
My only complaint is that it never opens up and roars . But it’s a great amp and that roar I know is from my 70s and 90s Marshall’s so I have comparedKiller...feel like JVMs are making a bit of a comeback around here.

But they always sound good .Dude this is so true. They act like modelers in a sense in that there’s no way to dial in a growl or roaring raging river attitude on an open D chord. They’re very much constrained.
here’s me jamming live with my drummer . I used jvm410 with Diezel HerbertI haven't cranked my JVM and doubt I'll ever have a good reason to...but based on the tone, feeling and compression at shouting volumes, it seems like to wouldn't roar or "punch" the way an 800 would. That said!, it sounds killer at lower volumes and probably records amazingly.
