My bass player has a 2x10 combo and one of the speakers was farting out on him, so I told him to order a new one and I'll replace it for him (he doesn't know anything about electronics). I looked up the specs and I told him to make sure to get an 8 ohm, 125W speaker. It's a 250W combo. When I got to his place he said he got an 8 ohm, 200W speaker. I figured since it's at least 125W we're ok, but I just wanted to make sure on here. I'm an electrical engineer so every instinct is telling me that everything is ok because the power rating tells me that it's capable of handling up to 200W, but sometimes guitar shit can be counterintuitive and I've been surprised by some things. I just don't want it to be one of those "OMG! DON'T CUT THE BLUE WIRE!!!" things.
