Egnater Elite- 80s?

I just bought a quad of 16-ohm Elite-80s on eBay. I put 2 of them in my Crate Palomino V32 2x12 combo, and they are perfect - just what I've been looking for! I've tried several different speakers in this amp and have never been happy until now.

My question is: Did they ever make this speaker in an 8-ohm version; and if so, anyone know where I can get one? I've got a Palomino V32 1x12 combo also, and I want to put an Elite-80 in it as fast as I can. I recently put a WGS Reaper HP in it, and while it's much better than stock, the amp still kind of sounds like ass. I know I could try installing a Classic Lead 80, or the WGS equivalent, but the extra bass response of the Egnater version is drastically needed in this amp (even more so than in the 2x12).

a 16ohm 25 watt resistor.. or even a higher wattage to handle the 30 watts peak amp power from mouser.

wire it in parallel with the 16ohm speaker, and you'll have an 8 ohm....but it's goin to compromise tone, from everything i've gathered...it's not a give and go play....some tone will be sacrificed through the resistor.
 
Thanks for the tip, but the tone deficiency you mentioned would be an issue for me. And actually, I just bought a CL80.

However, I would still like to know if they ever made the Elite-80 in an 8-ohm version . . .
