Single channel but they have a low in, high in and a clean in. You can switch between hi/low but not clean. Clean is a separate input for recording convenience only. The levels differences are too great to make footswitching the clean and Hi input feasible or useful.

The head sounds like a monster...think hot rodded JCM800 with more gain and bottom and the ice picks are gone.

Great little head with a really good FX loop...the front end loves pedals.

Hey Mark,
Do you know if the power transformer has an extra 5v or 6.3v tap coming off it for tube rectifier or switching? I suppose you could also get a little tranny or take of the heaters to make a channel switcher from clean to distortion. I know Ted Webber was putting together relay/opto,ldr boards for something like this.

Your video sounds great and rips!

The original design had a tube rectifier, but because the tr's are so unreliable Bruce started using a ss rectifier. You could just tap off the heaters.

so I can buy an a/b box and go between low and high???

footswitch does control a passive boost function, but it will not cycle between the inputs. That would require relays of some kind (I think).

BTW, I have two of the seminar heads, and yes, the tap to the jewel light was formerly used for the tube rectifier.

One of the 4 front inputs is an input for a footswitch to switch between low and high input.

So front is:

High, Low, Clean and F/S

Simple off/on footswitch.

Dont mean to hi jack the thread, but

If anyone has one for sale with a loop I would be very interested in it. I have one right now without the loop and love it, but I also need an amp with a loop to gig with.

You'd need an A/B to go between high/low (which is footswitchable) and clean.

Can't see why it would be necessary. It has all the gain you'd ever need and clean.

+1

it's already heavily "modded" as it is

Go with the seminar head, the renegade I played at a gc wasn't that great. The seminar head is a hot 800 tone.

An A/B won't work because once you plug into one of the inputs it cuts off the other inputs. Bruce explained this to us at the class.

The footswitch is a "pseudo" channel switch effect. It actually enables a db cut circuit so you have a perceived boost (even though the switched "on" option is the cut).

The head sounded great (I'm the one that demo'd mine for Premier Guitar Magazine) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X53GKGZo4Ko

However, after owning it for a while and considering my other amps, I'm looking for a different "flavor" than it currently provides so my seminar head is inbound to Dave Friedman for his Brown Eye mod.
