from my experience the zak wild boost injects more noise than I ever got from my friedman . I actually returned my ZW boost because it was to noisey . Maybe I had a bad boost?

Naw, mine is a bit noisey at 3/4 open as well, i use a gate to take care of that, i had Dave put in a NOS Mullard i sent with the amp, but i hadn't used that one before, it was a bit noisey, which has since been replaced, it's quiet now, plus i have some low noise Amperex coming from my tube connection, they are special low noise 7025's with spiral wound heaters, should be here tommorow.splatter":22kilt03 said:

The gain cut works great, on the BE channel i can flip the gain cut on & roll back the Pre-amp volume, the amp cleans up nicely, sounds just like my original JMP Low input, or i can use the gain cut and vary the Pre-amp volume on the HBE as well.nico22":2f5qvty4 said:nice !

Plus i can get any combo of gain inbetween on each channel, very flexable.
