its hard to compare clips with shotty recording methods but i think i still like the 60 over the 100.

what do you think about your new arrival :D

It's a huge improvement over the 60 watt model. It doesn't thin out like the 60w version did and it seems to be less fizzy. Reminds me more of what I liked about the SE. Of course I sold it already.  Just not doing it for me like my Herbert does.

What did you mean by "big Invader let down" Of the Engl amps the Invader and Fireball are the two I really like. My bro has the 60 watt Fireball. It sounds very good.

I used to have the Invader 150 and loved it. Sounded really good and one of the amps I wish I never sold. :(

they seem to be gaining more popularity now, but when they were introduced, there are a lot of less than favorable reviews, especially with the 150W model. Not sure if people were expecting something different and had unfair expectations, but almost everyone I talked to around the time of the NAMM introduction walked away pretty unimpressed. I haven't tried one to form my own opinion, but I can understand what Josh is talking about.

I bought one from him and hated it and sent it back. I know that amp when back and forth a few times. That probably contributed somewhat to his letdown.

The Fireball 100 is not like a Powerball at all. It is a lot more open sounding (even though it is compressed) than a Powerball. It is more dynamic and has an overall darker feel. I dug it for the hour or so I got with it before I had to leave on tour again. I will be home in a week and will have a lot more time with it then. And oh, it digs V30s...
