I agree, that 800 frequency on the MXR 6 band is very important if you want that midrange bark .
A lot of other EQ pedals seems to not have that frequency for some reason .

Definitely agree with this. I have never bought the MXR 10-band because of this. I dont know why so many of these EQs go 500, then 1000, then 2000. I MUCH prefer the frequencies on the Boss because they go 400, 800, 1600. Much better for dialing in mids.
