I think this is the key to EJ style playing and tone. One of the best dissections of his technique I've seen. Also check out the preceding lesson on Malmsteen's technique which is related. I'm just getting into it but it's been a real eye opener.

Looking at the price..........it's a bit much for a solid state amp. There's also some videos out there of the Mesa Lonestar getting really nice Eric Johnson-ish tones.

I can't even spell it.
What that is, is a glass prison for all the high end.
It's herded in there, away from the tone stack, and hypnotised until you stop playing.
Actually, what that is, is an EPROM off to a fancy dress party, in a $299 light bulb costume.
I'm taking this product very seriously. That little tube thing will make me sound like Eric Johnson FFS.
