That price isn't actually that bad from what i have been hearing recently, but yours seems to be pretty straightforward...and yeh it's gotten insane in the past few years....the fuck-ups on the orders, the prices....but the custom shop ESPs I have and have played have been impeccable.

Lez, awesome collection man!!!
Was that eclipse the one Fordman had originally?

I sold that eclipse to fordman, i think he sold it though, i dont think he liked the neck.

a friend who worked at w.o.s. handpicked it at esp and was getting it for himself but my friend ansley liked it and he sold it to him, and about 6 months later i got it from him, i had it for about 3 years or maybe longer and then sold it to fordman.

Thanks for the support guys. Les and Chris I am getting the quotes for you now!

Just to be an ass and fuel the fire, i ordered a custom special standard with a neck radius change and in snow white :D

I Love this guitar - it bumped my Prestige 1570 to number two.

You can forget about a 12-14 month wait. I was told 9 months and it took 2 years. I paid in full in August of 2009 and did not receive the guitar in my hands until March of 2011. It was then defective and had to be shipped back to ESP USA (they come off the boat ~6 weeks wait there alone) where ESP USA then inspects them in CA before shipment to the dealer. Since i ordered it through a USA dealer for a neck repair then ESP USA is allowed to mediate the repair with ESP Japan. ESP USA handled it very well and it took another 5-6 months for repair.

Absolutely the best guitar i have ever owned - right up there with TA's as far as quality and sound are concerned. You will not be disappointed

They said back then that pricing was going to change, and that custom standards were going to be limited - have not ordered another one since. If i did order one i would quote through Brad and two other places - i'll send you a PM

the esp custom shop can build great stuff but the prices have become insane in the last 3 years. its gotten to the point that i dont know if i will be buying very many esp anymore, after playing the higher end esp stuff i dont really like the standard series stuff as much, sure they are nice but my custom eclipse was a whole lot nicer feeling and sounding.

Yep, that's where I've come out too. The good thing though is that used ones are dirt cheap, and with the high prices, I think ESP is losing some prominence, which is causing used ESPs, even Custom Shop ones, to be sold dirt cheap - less than half new prices.

Hey Guys,

I am on this for Chris and will get him the best price. I have my connections inside ESP and can get this stuff done. Any ESP custom or Standard hit me up, I have sourced some pretty cool Japan only and custom stuff this year alone.

Thanks,
Brad

Hell yeah Brad! Hook him up!

Brad hooked me up... I'm currently waiting on this Japanese model bad boy...

so nice, i always loved that guitar, i think your gonna be very happy.

I wished i had kh-20 #5 and kh-4 back in my hands, that camo v i posted was also a killer sounding guitar and might have been the best sounding esp i ever owned.
this thread is making me sad, im looking back at my old guitars and thinking how stupid i was to sell them, i sell off great sounding guitars sometimes and really have alot of regrets, some people sell off guitars because they sound shitty but not me, i sell them when im bored and wanna try something else and i always think i will find something i like better or that they will be easy to replace and boy was i wrong.

oh well, i still have 6 esp left and they are keepers and arent going anywhere, im learning from my mistakes.

Why not just buy the standard model from a Japan dealer in White?

You can buy a standard model in white from some US dealers. I special ordered a custom color and flamed top from a US dealer and it was about 200-300 more than the standard base price. And now I am actually selling it!!!

I can most likely get the standard Japan model in white as well. Will quote both prices.

Brad is definitely the ESP connection. Hooked me up with 2 new ones at "wow" prices.

Sooooo hot!!!
I call dibs on it!!
I'm surprised they let you do a radius board as an option on a custom standard....last time I checked hte options that you can play around with on standards were pretty limited....
Not surprised about your wait time or the fact that it needed repair...I'll never understand why so many have come out of the custom shop (i know this isn't a full custom but still) needing work...i['ve only head these horror stories from ppl that purchased in America though....

Rezamatix" Save your money and get a guitar in a week that you can PLAY NOW. fuck waiting years for a paint job. thats just my 2 cents though. :dunno: [/quote said:
The standard series are great, but the custom shops are head and shoulders above....it's more than the paintjob!!!
I thought my NT-II couldn't get better, then I got my hands on my Kiko and oh my god I was blown away....
If you can get your hands on any of the japanese "original" series they are superb as well, all made fully by hand in the custom shop.
One thing that i've noticed as well is that all my ESPs that are non-US models (the paul landers CTM and SV) played, sounded and felt better than the US models i've had (except my USA custom)....not sure why that is, could be luck, could be smthn else...

Glad theres love here for this great brand!

Hell yeah

Back then Brad was not a dealer so i had to ask around - i think the thread still exists asking questions before the purchase in 2008/2009. If i decide to order a rosewood or ebony ESP M-II i definitely plan to go through Brad first - he's got the hookup

Thanks bro!!!

3 years ago the line was alot shorter and i went through a dealer that was ordering a batch of similar modifications and squeezed one in just in time. I do not know if it could be done again - i have not seen many at all like this although they are much more prominent in the UK and in Germany. They were hard to get 4 years ago and even harder to get now due to wait times increasing. They always allow or do not allow certain things depending on current demand and work-load. I just got lucky in not having to place a full on custom shop order. Still had to wait though. As said earlier by Brad he could probably get us anything we needed and do so at a reasonable price which is great - much easier than it used to be.

It was well worth it. I get many compliments on it and the guitar just plays itself - neck is just amazing

God dam that is ridiculous,
I remember when you could get a standard model with added custom options for a little more than a 3rd of that price in the mid 90's through to 2000

I've read lots of horror stories how people's customs were not made exactly how they wanted.

Here's my Custom Shop MII
