ESP Takamiy...thoughts?

Ever since I've been playing more clean i've been underwhelmed with a standard hum bucker in the bridge, and one of my ESPs in particular excels; it's a 27 fretted with a slanted neck stacked SD pup (no idea which) but when I engage the push-pull in the neck position it sounds glorious (clean). Again, not sure how this thing is wired but I recall a tech saying it's a Neil Young mod or something like that....anyways, this got me interested in strats and strat sounds, which lead me to this:

Anybody know more about it?

Looks like a 24-fret Strat. Some of the real expensive ESP bolt-on sigs seem to be made in the same place as the bolt on original series. If you can stomach a maple top and still want an ESP, this probably would be much cheaper:

Hell, might be cheaper even after refinishing it.

It's a actually a 22-fretter which is part of the appeal for me since I've always only had 24-27 fretters.
I considered the snappers but I don't think they have the original series with Alder bodies, which again, is part of the appeal for me.
Plus, and this is huge, no reverse headstocks on standard snappers, and I love me some reverse headstocks!!
One main concern is the neck radius...I much prefer the 12-16, and being strat tased I'm worried its going to be around 8-10 and non-compound, and I won't be able to try before I buy until I get back to Japan next Christmas.

It does....and man is that one expensive, and for no reason it seems....not my thing though...getting pretty picky about guitars, especially at the high end.

Esp makes a lot of great looking guitars. This is not one of them.
Standard strat shapes and plain colors and gold hardware never floated my boat before this week....so I totally get where you're coming from!

I like that guitar and the finish. I wish it had a rosewood fingerboard and a humbucker in the neck position though. Hard to find used ESP like that in the U.S.

The guitar in the picture in your OP definitely has 24 frets.
