Haha. I wonder if there is a thread on TGP about JB's comments. :D

I wonder if there's threads on TGP or other forums about Rig-Talk.

I just don't get it. I'm not over on TGP, ever. I think we lost Barzini to that site though, no? So what's the dealio? Are they a bunch of 'better thans' and 'dentists', some kinda high flutin' society over there? Is this where the Dumble nonsense originates?

Just trying to get my bearings. I'm really only a member (active member) on this site, with the odd post to mylespaul.com and bareknuckle.com (if you're going to mention FAS, forget about it :lame: ), that's it. I have NO idea what 'attitudes' prevail on the different boards. I luckily found this one, lurked for a while, then thought most cats here were the real deal :dunno:

Got no reason to go elsewhere. I hope JB managed to get 'em in the soft spot, over out.

Unless you're on a static IP, which nobody really is nowadays, how the HELL can they stop you from viewing a page???

Behooved.

All MSW servers are static IP. I'm on MSW server 2008 R2.

I joined TGP last week when I also discovered the Rig-Talk forum.
Man, they have 10 posts per minute, the traffic over there is enormous. I just googled a few threads which I subscribed to, but I am unable to keep up with all the updates on other threads of the page.

My general impression is that RT is a very "grown up" place. Nice.

So wait, his machine is static or his inet feed is static? So, let's say charveldan was on a laptop, could he not migrate over to a different feed, get a new IP via DHCP and be able to browse? You saying that his provider's IP is what's blocked, not his actual machine's? And if it was the machine, than it would have to be through his computers MAC address or the like, no??

V.

And KC, you're an IT guy, no...??

What the HELL you doing on MSW?!?!?!?

I woke up to find this on my facebook page from Joe Bonamassa today:

"Honesty the people on the Gear Page need to chill out on slagging me. I am tired of people taking cheap shots. It especially seems to come from that blog. Here is my advice.. put a band together.. Tour and walk a mile in my shoes.. Oh thats right.. you cant because you just talk and not do really much of anything positive. I don't mean to put down all the folks there just the morons who take cheap shots."
LINK?

That guitar playing and sound in that video is just liquid gold!

You're confusing me...

Blame it on Bob Savage. Bob completely controls the Interweb.

Everyone has and is entitled to an opinion. I'm shocked he bothers to read that stuff but I can't disagree with him either. The tone has gotten meaner at TGP, especially from the cork sniffer crowd there.

I really don't think many of you guys are being fair. I've been at TGP since 2007 and have had a great time learning about a lot of gear and also have learned how to avoid certain topics that can cause storms. I do the same thing here BTW...

:dunno:

Check out @6.00

I can't work out whether he has a good sense of humor, or he just doesn't like people slagging him off (but who does?).

Either way... Good for him to slap back a little. Not that I understand why he would care...\

EDIT:

Decided to have a look at his facebook page... Found this:

"Here is a good dare. I dare VH1 or MTV to play BCC's Man in the Middle video or Rolling Stone Magizine USA to acknowledge my existence in anyway. What's the worst that could happen? Maybe people would discover something new and tragically unhip. oh te humanity. BCC 2 came out this week and is doing great. Thank you so much for all the support."

His tone is awesome, like an improved version of Eric Johnson's.

I dont think anyone doubts his ability on the guitar and I totally get what he is saying about people talking about music and gear instead of actually making any. However, I dont think that he should be insulting the tgp crowd being that its those tgp guitar geek types that are his bread and butter, other then musicians he is basically still unknown to the rest of the public. He should have a thicker skin especially considering that for every 1 dick with a negative remark there are 100 totally willing to kiss his ass literally.

And you got a problem with this?

JB is extremely gifted, talented and a massive writer, creator and guitar player. Joe has written and produced more incredible material than most of us at the tender age of 33.
