Eventide Eclipse and guitar amps

HI there,

So I've been using my eclipse with my 5150III 100 and VH4 in the loops, just one at a time, no stereo.

I've seen racks that Dave did with the Eclipse all plugged in th 1/4 jack and not the XLR in/outs, usually everybody say that you should use the XLR, so what's the best approach? or in guitar it's the same?

I've been using XLR to jack unbalanced, also I use a Strymon Timeline in series after the Eclipse with the 5150, so I am also worried about the output overloading the strymon.

Advices on how to make this work at its fullest potencial with the gear I have?




P.S. so you guys don't mention it I am trying to get a line mixer but so far the founds are low

For guitar stuff just use the 1/4" it's perfectly fine.

I've been having some hiss when the Eclipse is engaged, how can I get rid of it?

Have to make sure input and out levels are set right. Meaning when its unplugged it should be the same volume as plugged in.
