This discussion had nothing to do with how great of a player someone is, or if they know a great guitar. Somehow, it morphed into humidity being blamed for the frets on this Wolfgang. Sure humidity plays a part, but humidity had nothing to do with these. They were just crappy. Honestly, the fret were an easy fix. Filed them, rounded them, done. Now the nut not holding a string? Thats a real issue. I am hoping an R2 real floyd nut will take care of it.

All I am saying is, the hardware on the Jap Wolfie is sub standard for a $1299 retail guitar. Last night I looked at the hardware close ups of the US Wolfie, and its NOT the same hardware, despite the fact that they have been saying it is. The nut and floyd are definitely different.

You could move to Canada.....

Well, I can't take what you say very seriously. You guys must be bros....that's sweet.

I played two MIJ EVH's that had a fine fretjob...but no, they are leaving the factory unfinished. I highly doubt it.
Seems like you take the name brand, the cost, and the origin of manufacture a little too seriously.

Keep drinking that koolaid...manufactures love to see you coming and charge you through the nose for the name. But hey, you get bragging rights.

RVS is right on the fret sprout issue. It happens because a guitar is made of wood. It expands and contracts based on humidity. I've had it happen before. You do one of two things. Re-humidify it or file them off. This happens all the time. I don't own a pile of guitars, but I've owned enough to know that it does. I had this happen to a 2 month old taylor I bought recently. And I've had it happen to a couple other guitars as well.

Now, the locking nut thing is a whole different issue. What brand is it? I had a peavey special, it had a Gotah on it and it rocked

Charvel and Jackson custom shops use better hardware on the USA custom shop stuff than what came on the USA Production series guitars and the made in Japan guitars. Since the EVH custom shop is the Charvel Jackson custom shop and the Wolfgang Specials are made in the same Japanese factory as the MIJ Charvels and Jackson's it would stand to reason that they would have the same brand, but more affordable version of the hardware. Now if you are saying that hardware isn't working right, it doesn't matter if it's more affordable, it still has to work so I say, "launch it again!"

Only if we can have Robin Scherbatsky.

Ps. I wouldn't request for barzini to be on any part of you.
