Yeah i'm really, really not surprised

How much you wanna bet the cable he charges like 50$ a foot for is some cheap chinese bullshit too?

Dude is a complete scam artist

I remember in the old days of HRI forum, he was advertising is own cables, claiming the cable and connectors was made for him after his specs. Even had a chart that he posted various times for compare his stuff with Mogami and Neutrik and other brands. At some point even Landau was using his cables.
After the wah scandal some people at TGP removed the external branded sheath of their cables, and it was a Belden 8451 and Switchcraft plugs.

I'm guessing it's his obsession with safety glasses during amp demos. I have to wonder if he doesn't have an endorsement from Grainger.

You're God damn right Kyle Bull wears safety glasses!.jpeg

Saw that video the other day. How close to you think the pedals get to the Echoplex? Anything closer in pedal form?

Lincoln is a monster player and they nailed the tone. I get the Mason hate from the wah debacle, but honestly i'm over it and he does some cool stuff now.
Doesn't get a pass from me. Dude is crooked.
Once a cheater, always a cheater, they just get more slick about it after being caught.
I'd never again trust a gf that cheated. (I'd still booty call, but I digress...)

Then he tried to charge Bonermaster over a grand to wire his pedalboard. I think JB told him to get F'ed, which IMO is an appropriate response.

Here's what JB wrote back when the wah stuff came to light:
"Hey Guys,
I'm sorry to be chiming in so late but I must warn all you fellow gear nerds to stay away from Vertex effects and pedalboard services. Mason is not truthful nor is his work good or in most cases his own. He had me on his site without permission as a user and happy customer. I am/was neither happy nor do I use any of his products. My pedalboard sounded awful, took tons of gain away, and added a huge ground hum. It also cost $1400 and that was after I pitched a fit when the $2000 bill came to my tour manager all the while seeing unauthorized You Tube videos of my " new rig" a rig I never tried nor signed off on. Fortunately Dave Friedman at Rack Systems came in and saved the day for $400. All I wanted and asked for was to have some cables cut to size. I didn't want to waste Dave's time so I gave it to Mason. BIG MISTAKE.... I am very disturbed by his actions and have heard recently that he has been called out on some Wah Wah Pedal stuff. Bad News Bear that cat is unfortunately.
So... In closing...
Just trying to keep my fellow guitar nerds from getting ripped off like I was.
Caveat Emptor
Joe Bonamassa."

Ed's tone was good JMP Marshalls, good guitars and a few pedals. Plus a little studio "majic" when recording.
Phuck da millenial hipsters.
