Diesel here is $450+ a gal soon to be $5. Locomotives, semi-trucks, ships all run on that which will cause shipping charges to skyrocket which we all pay.
And gasoline prices for everything else is right behind diesel.

. I’ve touched on this before, but the petroleum mafia here in the Midwest must have some clout. Gas is $3.60 and diesel is $4.70. Why the corn belt is above the national average is beyond me.
