So now that these amps have been shipping... who owns one and how do you like yours?

I'm loving mine so far... I love the gain on this beast!!!!

here are some demos I made with mine...

Dirty

Clean

Feel free to post a video of you playing your 5150 iii mini!!

Have one as well! Fantastic amp!
Haven't had time to do clips.....witha 4 yr old and 4 mo. old at home....time is precious!

Will try and do something at some point.

I love the 2x12 cab. Sounds even better than my previous Diezel 2x12 sounded. I love how they slightly angled the speaker mount. The tiltback and locks for the head are a great addition as well.

Can't beat it for the price!

:)

Yep. 2nd week of gigging with it.....love it...mostly.....just wish the clean channel was louder......

Love mine. It does everything I need an amp to do and it sounds awesome!

Did you already have the WGS speakers in your Mesa cab when you picked up your EVH50 or did you start out with different speakers?

The 5150 III 50 watt head is a great
amp for the price point.

Here it is with the EVH 4x12 cabinet...

Yup. Love it. About to do my 5th gig on it tomorrow. Amazing amp.

Great amp. Still waiting on my back ordered 2x12cab.
+1 to both

Love the amp but I like my 100w a bit better for the following reasons:
1) channel 2 sounds less compressed and more organic
2) no volume jump between ch1 and ch2
3) Loop sounds better

I changed them way before I got the 5153 50 watt. I had an Orange AD30 and didn't care for the V30s with it. I do like them with the 5153 so much that I don't feel the urge to change them at all

I've gone midi!!!!!

My EVH 5150 iii mini has midi capabilities. I've been using my Line 6 Pod XT Live for effects. It sounds great, but it's a pain to press one button to get a delay, and then another button for chorus and then another button to change the channel. I went to GC this morning and bought a midi cable... after about 30 min on tinkering, I packed up the Pedaltrain and I was left with just the XT Live and amp.

Here are the 4 channels I created:

Channel 1 - heavy rock rhythm with just a tad of delay... calls up channel 3 on the amp... tons of gain

Channel 2 - marshall-type setting on steroids with a tad of delay... calls up channel 2 on the amp... not as much gain, but enough to throw some flames!!!!!

Channel 3 - clean with delay/reverb... i also have the ability to add a bit of chorus using the mod pedal on the xt live... the clean is never fully clean since the gain and eq is shared with channel 2, but it's ok if i roll back the volume of the guitar. channel 1 of the amp is used.

Channel 4 - calls up channel 3 of the amp with a level boost and bit of delay... chorus can be added too.

Channels 1, 2 and 4 all have the noise gate.

I love it!!!!
