So this morning, I picked up my Wolfgang. It's probably the 9th Wolfgang I've owned... I love these guitars.... I pretty much love all of the guitars that Eddie put his name on. I thought it would be cool to have a thread in appreciation of all of those guitars that Eddie has put his name on. So... post some pics of guitars with his name on them!!!!

Nice!

I have an hp custom, sort of a post evh peavey hybrid of a wolfgang and prs. Mine has a similar fixed bridge.

I have a Japanese EVH Wolfgang hardtail and love it. Every single brand of the Wolfgang has been great.

You can tell how much Eddie loves every intricate detail of getting his tone and it reflects in his guitars.

Unfortunately I like each brand less as he changes. I like the music man the best, then, peavey, then fender.

Here is my little EVH setup. I have a studio and I want to offer all the best possible guitar tones to my clients. And since we have a huge VH following here I thought I would be cool to have these available, in case someone is looking for any of the EVH guitar tones. Besides, I love these guitars and amps!!! Still want to ad a Peavey Wolfgang and a 5150-II. There is also another 5153 4x12 in black added to the collection after this picture was taken.

I've been playing Peavey Wolfs for about 13 years now. Really comfortable. Love 'em.

Here's an action pic with my number 1:

One of my old ones. I have a few EVHs still and 2 Sports. Had a few Petrucci's in the day as well. Great guitars.

Unfortunately Eddie never played a Peavey Wolfgang STP and as a result they are greatly undervalued.
I used to collect Wolfgangs but have since thinned the herd down to the two best sounding ones.
One of the two is an STP.

Interesting. What are those pickups in the purple stoptail?

Tone Zone, Air Zone. They sound great in the Standard, but were a not quite right in the stoptail which has a much darker tone.
Currently I have a Cold Sweat in the neck and the stock bridge pup back in.

My '95 EVH Musicman. One of the last made. Great guitar - doesn't see any action these days though. . .resting comfortably in it's case.

Just curious but what do you guys think of the Peavey HP Special?

Please excuse the crappy iPhone pic.

Owned several and came to these 2 conclusions;

1) They were some of the most consistently best sounding guitars that I have ever played and

2) While I loved playing Rhythm on them, I couldnt gel with them for leads at all...

I've been hankering for one lately

I've had both the Peavey Wolfgang and the EBMM Axis models. I much prefer the feel and tone of the EBMM's. I own two of them

Funny you say that Kage. I used to own a Peavey Wolfgang Special and loved the rhythm but struggled a bit with lead sounds. I now have the EVH Wolfgang Special and love both rhythm and lead tones. I actually like the current EVH pickups better than the ones I owned previously.
