People will still believe that they are saving mother earth.

And others will walk about carrying signs reading "We're All Doomed" because they believe any change must be bad. Always been a glass half full person myself.

If you had a gas station in your garage, 95 times out of 100 you'll be fueling up at home.

With EV, you're charging at home. Most peoples cars are setting in the garage, or driveway long enough for charge times to not be an issue.

I know a lot of EV owners. None have gone back, and my boss just bought his second Tesla after owing the first one for 6 years.

He had no major maintenance, no oil changes, no brake jobs, no stops at the gas station. ?‍♀️

They just have to hope they have enough money to buy a new battery when it dies in 10 yrs and that it doesn't set aflame while driving or parked.

You've never seen anyone with a fuel dispenser at home? You can get 300-500 gallon units for about the same price as a basic charging station. I don't need a master electrician to install the fuel tank. And I can buy fuel when it's cheap and save money while the EV charging station is subject to the whims of the electric company and gov't interference. Add wood heat and a clothesline to dry your clothes and we are talking cheap country living brother.

And 100 years ago these same people slamming electric cars would have said the Horse and Buggy was better than them dang newfangled automobiles. Damn that Henry Ford!

Toyota is also working on a Hydrogen engine. That technology is still under development.

The electric grid can't even handle everyone having the AC on during hot days. For the people saying "but but solar"...how many watts do you need to fully charge a Tesla? And can it be done during all 4 seasons? Doubt it

If I were already established well in a non-grid system I would likely resist signing on for a gas car or an electrical hookup. I would like to operate with less grid attachments today. Here my power and water have gone out MANY times so it seems prudent to me to just arrange my own utilities at a site conducive to doing so rather than trusting in a crumbling grid and that definitely rules out an electric car for me.
