Some of us are here because we are very controversial. And some of us like myself are here, because I got banned from the Mesa thread at TGP for simply discussing economics and inflation. It's gotten so ridiculous over there with what you cannot say. There's some good info over at TGP, but I don't post as much as I used to because of this reason.

This is how I moderate… if a topic gets political on the main board but people are engaging and participating… within reason that is…. I let it ride… until it gets reported by another member and then I will move it. To get banned you really kinda have to step on your dick. And usually there’s direct warnings and temporary bans. Some people think we let to much slide but…. I’m looking at stuff through the eyes of a 50 y. O. Hair lipped white boy from West by God Virginia that spent 22 years working in high security prisons. So I’m not very politically correct… and I don’t really give a fuck about members being triggered…. Actually I will trigger someone just for the hell of it if I’m bored. Now before anyone stereotypes me… my son is biracial, my best friend is a Puerto Rican from NYC and I have had rough surprise sex with many men….jk… not sure why I posted this but there it is. Enjoy…

It started after the old HCAF ban, and there have been a couple of big "waves" of ex-pats

I'm a TGP refugee from the "Big Mike had his period and got the wrong brand of tampons" episode of 2020 where like 20 people got banned permanently for politely and mildly criticizing the asymmetry in the political rules enforcement.

There was a big 7SO wave a couple years ago too.

RT has a much more "free speech" oriented moderation policy, which can lead to crashouts and strong words, but invariably also leads to better information and better conversation.
