What do you think the best high gain amp of all time is? I don want an amp to mask things. I want it to either reward me for playing clean or punish me for being sloppy. My favorite is the EVH 5150 EL34 100wS. Most brutal and unforgiving amp Ive ever played (and I've played a bunch). This is just my opinion. I don't think other people are wrong when they give an incorrect answer

Twas an original run USA made 100w Archon. I had to enact plan B and buy one from Musicians Friend. It arrives today as a matter of fact. With friends like them......

I too have missed out on gear because of the post count. Maybe that is a good thing. I got active again on guitar as I ran into some big health issues and it has been an awesome distraction for me. The gear, the speaker and pickup sound clips. It never ends!

That's where I'm usually stuck. I've had 10+ years touring as a guitar tech and monitor engineer, played in a handful of bands in most of the states, and anyone I've admired professionally has stuck to the same philosophy: observe everything, err on keeping your mouth closed, and be ready to learn at all times. That's my forum presence in a nutshell.

Cabs VM 425B G12C, 1960 G12vintage/P50e, G12M65 1x12 (Friedman)
I was actually thinking of starting a new 50cl thread when I'm not at work. I've owned it 20 years and I'm having fun getting the bug again. It always seemed kind if dry until i dimed it into my new PS100.

It arrived. It's not in "great condition". It is, frankly, beat to sh*t. Also missing the pictured foot switch AND..most importantly? Missing all 4 f*cking power tubes. Man, f*ck these clowns.
