F.U.C.K. vs Balance Tone: SLO-100, 5150 Reissue, or x88ir for the ultimate '90s Ed rig?

I think I got pretty close to the Balance tone here using a 5150 Block Letter model in the AxeFX, just a basic -9/+9 detune after the amp and the dual delays. I always associate Right Here, Right Now with the FUCK tone more than the actual album itself, so it’d be Peavey all day for me.



The original guitar is in there, but you can hear my guitar is quite a bit louder due to my fuckups.

That’s really nice, thanks for sharing! I heard or saw somewhere that Peavey folks said there were no differences between the block letter and the other ones. I think I will go with the reissue OR a fryette GPDI/IR

Here Bruno watch this vid on Ed's 5150 amps, everything you wanted to know about them. James Brown says there is no difference between the EVH block letter model and every model after that one. He stated they changed to the signature model because of a potential lawsuit from EV.

To be honest, you can't go wrong with any of those choices. As I own a Soldano SLO 100, I would definitely vouch for it being a fantastic amp with a lot more versatility than people think. It is definitely a level above the 5150 in terms of note definition and clarity when I have gigged. Will you be gigging, recording or is it more for home use?

Is it going to be mainly for home/recording. If I buy a SLO I would be worried to carry it around.. LOL.
