Definitely a great composition. That mostly sums up why Marty is one of my favorite solo artists. He can bring it from any angle and blend styles pretty seamlessly.

The video was super cheesy though, but my cat seemed to like watching it LOL!

Such a unique player. His timing, his feel, his phrasing, the way he bends up to pitch or chooses notes that are slightly off to get that "exotic" or "eastern" feel is just incredible. It isn't just about speed or shred, it is the quality of the shred and Marty is total quality.

He has the best phrasing ever .Everyone always says tornado of souls is his best solo but ALL of his solos in Hangar 18 just are just a whole ball game above tornado . Literally every lick is original and from outer space

Ya, Hangar 18 has got some crazy leads in it, while Tornado is a bit cliche'... it still rips though.

Agreed. I think the leads in Hangar 18 maybe get overlooked because they’re just too brief each one. They’re not really full length guitar solos. Same imo with Holy Wars. Some of those Mediterranean sounding licks he had there were awesome. And those awful leads by Mustaine lol only contrasted to make Marty’s leads come off that much better, so thanks for that lol. Mustaine’s leads were maybe even more vapid than EVH’s

Man I think the brief thing is perfect sense

That was awesome. Way heavier and more interesting than anything Megadeth's done in forever. I wonder if his unorthodox picking technique actually prevents him from playing common, straight up super fast scalar type passages. If so, it's a blessing!

We just take Tornado for granted because we’ve heard it a gazillion times but it’s still a maestro moment of composition in melody and pacing and structure. I’ll always say it’s a landmark solo. Marty certainly has more than a few with Megadeth, especially through RIP.
I feel the same way with the solo from Beyond the Realms of Death. Heard it a million times and just love it every single time.

Come on man, Mustaine's leads aren't that bad. He's got that chaotic let er loose kinda vibe going. I mean the main solo in Holy Wars is Mustaine's and it rips, also his lead in Wake Up Dead, that lead kills as well, the one at the end of the song. Another good one, The Conjuring. Go and listen to that one. That's the most evil solo in existence.

That's the most well constructed and memorable lead on the entire album! Take that!
It's very memorable indeed. I think my favorite off the album is probably Chris Poland's solos in Good Mourning/Black Friday though, the sparse melodic lead at the beginning and the one where he shreds his ass off towards the end.
