Anyone play/test out a fanned fret guitar? What do you like/not like?

I took a chance on a Fanned 6 after talking to a dealer who's played 1,000's of guitars. I was blown away how easy it was to adjust within minutes of picking it up. The low notes sound tighter and deeper. Upper fret access is better than standard. I like everything about them. I own three currently. A 6 and 2- 7 strings. The only thing not to like is it takes a few to adjust to the angled nut hitting your hand. Once you do, you wont know it's there.

What's the scale of each string on the 6?

Mine is 26.5/25.5.

My friend has a kiesel Vader 7 fanned and I like how the straight feet is the 9th. Guitar is light and well balanced. I really like the neck and neck pickup. The lithium bridge to me is lackluster, and this is the problem with the fanned fret guitars is pickup swapping. Not all have the same angle, so kinda stuck with what you get makes me nervous.

I have a Strandberg Boden 6 with fanned frets. I dig it and it's not really different to play but I definitely like how the scaling works.

What about playing chords on them? Looks like it would hard to chord down by the nut.

It's not hard. It just feels awkward at first. Doesn't take long before you wont even notice

These guitars seem pretty amazing.

Just scored an AM7
Never played a fanned fret before, took 0 minutes for fingers to adjust. Brain was kind of freaking out in a fun way like what is this new thing? I dig it big time

Curious, who developed the first fanned fretted guitar? Is there a patent on it?

Forgot his name but there was a patent. It expired which is why anyone can utilize them. Google will tell you what you want to know.
