Fat mode switch on Fender Blues Jr

I have been playing this Blues Jr, and I really like it...but it has a "fat mode" switch with this long ass cord and it is hardwired into the amp. I will always keep fat mode on using single coils. I just want to get rid of this stupid switch/rats nest cord so it's not just hanging around in the back of the cab rolling around and possibly bumping the cone. Any ideas?

It's hard wired into the amp?

Zip tie the cord and velcro it with pedalboard velco to an inobtrusive spot.

Modding it is a bad idea. They are relatively inexpensive amps already (very good sounding inexpensive amps I might add) and it will lose what value it has.

It has that little velcro grip. I don't really care about the value because I paid nothing and it is a tool... I just hate this long ass cord and pedal chilling out lmao. I just want it on, and nothing else.

In my experience

The fender PCBs are really difficult to work on, a gigantic PITA

and as much as it seems like you could just cut it off and make a couple solder joints, my spidey senses tell me it would probably fuck something up royally and it just seems not worth it

Ziptie it and put it in a pedal box and velco or duct tape that shit to the side of the cabinet somewhere

My guess is you can just cut the cord and twist the wires together.

My Blues Jr has the button on the face plate.

True that, sometimes my minimalist mentality takes over too strong

I am more minimalist than anyone, but...

I would just neaten it up and ziptie it out of the way as much as possible.
They are inside the amp, something you will never look at.

That is muchbetter. I could live with that.
You can always make a makeshift box using cardboard or something more rigid if you have it if it bothers you.

I would like to offer this thought. The fat switch (footswitch) is totally stupid, especially being hardwired. I could, and would agree more with a simple 1/4th switch for that 3% of users of this amp who would demand a footswitchable Fat. After researching what it really does (it's not a boost) most Fender users would simply just have on, and never know or not that it ever existed. I would like to repeat, this is not a boost.

I left mine on all the time when I had a Blues Junior, sounded thin without it.

I see in your gear listings that you are a humbucker guy, I play almost 100% strat and tele, so the fat just stays on. I bet this thing could crank with a nice LP though

I actually just bought 2 Fender Strat HSS, but it is very important to me to be able to split the Humbuckers to get those great single coil tones.
Even my Ibanez AZ2402 splits both buckers to get Strat and Tele tones.
At my core if I had to choose I would go Humbucker, but luckily I can have both.
