Fave Boosts For Splawn - Go

RC Booster or Timmy for clean boost, Naga Viper, Klone, COD, or some kind of fuzz for dirty boost.

I run the SoloDallas Storm in front.. in GEAR 1 with low gain.. you go from Malcolm to Angus in a switch.. really pushes the right freqencies.. I tried my NagaViper and it sounded like a bees nest.. That boost sounds much better in front of my Marshall Major modded as it is a darker amp.. The Storm from Solo Dallas is a fantastic boost pedal..

I have an '10 Quickrod what was ones a ProMod but has KT77's in it now. I use a Wizard Leopard into 1st gear OD1 and a Barber Compact Direct Drive into 2nd gear OD1. I use the Direct Drive also as a stand alone low gain drive on the clean channel.

I've had great luck with the Rockaway by J Rockett Audii Designs. It's the Steve Steven's signature pedal and has 6-band eq to boot.

While I'm add it, the The Dude Pedal does a fantastic "smooth as butter" OD on the clean channell. It's supposed to be a Dumble clone. I'll have to take their word for it. I find that the Rockaway does equally as food as a boost to the Amp and/or to The Dude.

I have a 3 tube Quick Rod and I use a Bodenhamer Bloody Murder as a boost for metal and an OCD for rock sounds.

Been using a TC Electronic Big Spark in the mid boost mode. I like it ok, but looking to see what other ones you guys like. I usually run gain between 10-12:00 in Gear 1-2 & boost from there.

I have a Quick Rod 2014 and I love my Rockbox Boiling Point (the handmade swirl one, early serial) for lead. When I want to tighten up the already ridiculously tight amp even more, I'm using the Koko boost on the mid boost side, set to approximately 9:30.

Aside from using an EQ as a boost, is there any sort of Clean Boost (similar to MXR Microamp) that also helps cut or tighten the low end?

Not interested in OD1 or TS type pedals.

Friedman Buxom Boost. It`s got a bit more features than an MXR Microamp but if you want to veer away from TS type pedal but still get that bass cut and tight low end the Buxom boost will do it

Thanks Hammered. Does the buxom boost give that nasaly or mid humo type tone from the boosting ? I really don't like that tone.

To my ears it does not . You can bypass the eq if you like and just the boost and tight is functional
