Anyone? Im trying to figure out which one to get.
Or maybe i should say "Favorite shred fushion Album".
I know that he is quite the fusion virtuoso

my fav's are Five, Introspection, and Ascend myself. There are other good ones but those are pretty much all i listen to! Check out Andy Timmons Resolution too thats all i seem to be listening to these days, i wouldnt really call him fusion but he definetely is a versatile smoking player.

A couple of disks in my car changer........................

Stevens, Levin, and Bozzio.......both disks are just incredible listens.
Terry Syrek - Aum Incredible musician with chops to burn and a theory monster.

I have every album Greg ever put out accept for 2 of the newer ones.

I absolutely love Introspection,Uncercain terms, Parallax and Five.
His first shrapnell album was geared more towards the neo-clasical thing because Mike Varney wanted him to play that style because it was hot at the time. I dig that album but the tone and production is really rough.

I don't think that you could go wrong with any of his albums. Id definitely start with introspection or you could look on his site and hear some sound clips and decide which way to go.

BTW, I could not find my bloodline album! Its still MIA!!

all the best

For Howe...Hyperacuity

For Fusion in general...
Ray Gomez-Volume
MVP-Truth In Shredding (Holdsworth/Gambale)
MVP-Centrifugal Funk (Gambale/Garsed/Lane)
Any Hellborg/Lane
Anything by Ohm

Five, Introspection and Extraction are favorite....but they're all great and worth checking out.

My favorite Greg Howe is "High Gear" but that's back when he was heavy rock. On that album he sounds like what Eddie would have sounded like if he took lessons from Paul Gilbert

Shawn Lane is my favorite "fusion" player and Abstract Logic with Jonas Helborg is a killer disc.

Uncertain Terms is probably my favorite. You can't really go wrong with any of them though. The High Gear disc is good too, but it's not fusion. He's such a good player!

Introspection is my fave and is what really turned me on to him. Five, Paralax, and Extraction are great too. Extraction is the one which John Grant recorded some of Dennis Chambers' drum tracks.

Another thing to look for would be Tetsuo Sakurai's Gentle Hearts which has Greg Howe and Dennis Chambers. They later recorded a live dvd which is awesome.

I just found out about Tetsuo. I'm working on acquiring that album at the moment.

That's one of my favorite instrumental cds of all time. It's been in my jeep for 3 years and has never fallen out of rotation.

I think Im going to go with Introspection as my fave Howe disc, Parralax is right up there though.

An underated fusion gem is Quid Pro Quo (Brett Garsed/TJ Helmrich), serious chops on their S/T disc (not heard any of the rest)

I reckon for all intents and purposes it is Fusion. But that is the 80s kinda Fusion thing that gave Fusion a bad aftertaste.
Great playing, but the actually "tune" could be a 80s Japanese cartoon.
