My favorite is Lynch/Pilson, with the first Lynch Mob second. This is probably my favorite song though.

Ray Gillen was a bad ass! RIP.

Under Lock And Key = "The Hunter"

Wicked Sensation = "She's So Evil...But She's Mine"

I love that song..man, I haven't listened to that solo album is SOOO long...

anywho, my favorite lynch tone is Back for the Attack....so raw and friggin' pissed off..love it!! Had great tone on ULAK as well...

I thought he had alot of really good tones on the Dysfunctional album too....that album never gets mentioned alot when speaking of lynch and/or Dokken but it's got alot of really great tracks on it

I actually Like all of Lynch's tones in Dokken but My faves or ULAK and Back for the atack

I'll be the odd man out and say that I hated the tone on the First Lynch mob album.

I didn't care for the second lynch mob album tone at all...guitar sounded like it was under water...could have been partially the tone and partially the production

different strokes =)

I'm not sure there's a Lynch tone I don't like....Lynch/Pilson was disappointing but I think more from a songwriting perspective.

I'm going to go with Back for the Attack for favorite though.....such raw aggression!

I go back and forth between ULAK and BFTA. ULAK is killer but sometimes bugs me as being just a little too processed. On BFTA on some of the tunes his tone sounds killer. On others it sounds very thin and there is this raspy, fuzzy fizz on it that almost sounds as if the tubes have already gone bad or something. In spots it has this blown out sound like the amp is pushed too far, or the speakers can't handle it or it is being attenuated too much. Does anyone else hear that? Basically to me on some tunes it sounds like the perfect pushed Super Lead tone and it's a very good Super Lead. On others it sounds like he is pushing a not very good Super Lead past the point where it sounds good and his bass knob was broken off at zero. I am onll speaking of his rhythm tone on BFTA. His lead tone on the album is PERFECT.

There are things I like about all his recordings tone-wise. Even though it's unpopular to say it, I think the Randalls sound killer on Tooth and Nail. It's funny how huge and mean they sound in the chorus of Just Got Lucky which is extremely poppy and the guitars just sound badass.

With Dokken Back for the Attack it is raw and in your face. Great Marshall tone
Love the first Lynch Mob Album the tone is killer Soldano & Marshall
Lynch/Pilson is so over looked great Heavy tones on that one.

I didn't hate but I thought the second one was way better especially the solo tone.

The second Lynch Mob disc is probably my second favorite tone from him. It is however, my favorite Lynch record in terms of songs. Love that album.

I don't know which album it's on, but "Don't Close Your Eyes" has my fave Lynch tone.

Tooth and Nail. Solid state Randall RG100 with a Tube Screamer. basically a $350 rig these days. I agree it sounds great though.

I dig the tone itself on Tooth and Nail, but there's something about the way it was recorded or produced or engineered on the tail end or something because it sounds like it's coming through a paper towel tube...but the tone behind that is mean

I know exactly what you mean. I had his exact setup (The RG100es? and the screamer) and it sounded good but the tone he had on the album was very PRODUCED and not the raw tone I was getting. But then again I was in my garage and he was in a studio with mixing boards!

yep..that's it..produced....they shoulda left well enough alone on the guitars cause the tone is there!

I know that there are going to be people coming out of the wood work to shout "Tooth & Nail" or "Under Lock & Key," but I think that George's best tones were from his solo album. The track below is probably my all time favorite tone that he ever recorded. Enjoy.

Is this from the same disc....I always forget, some great tone and tunes on it:
