Oh man, so many. Devin Townsend/SYL, for sure. The SYL stuff is 5150 mixed with a Recto, and it's fucking killer. Superunknown is one of my favorite records, such great tones. I don't listen to Alter Bridge, not a fan, but Tremonti has great tone. I like Metallica's sound on Load and ReLoad, which has a lot of Recto in it, along with the Wizards and tons of other stuff.

There's a lot of good Recto tones out there.

The lead tone on Flies and blue skies is absolutely jaw dropping

The Recto tones on Dream Theater's Awake album are what got me into metal guitar tones. Before that, I only gave a shit about Gilmour and EJ, so it was a pretty big change up.....but that rhythm tone in "Lie", goddamn! I also really dug the tones on the A Change Of Seasons and Falling Into Infinity, pretty sure for FII all the heavy stuff is a Recto, but Mesa also shot that one pic of Petrucci with like every amp Mesa ever made and that was in the studio when they were recording that album, so who knows what made it to tape.

I think I've got a bigger hard on for MkIV's big, squishy sound though. Sevendust's Animosity record, fucking tones on that record, man....Clint got some amazing sounds out of that head, same goes for the Dark New Day record he did when he quit Sevendust. Chevelle got a lot of similar tones but not the same amount of squish...

Settings from when i toured opening for them in 2008. Quite blurry but you can make the most of it out.

I always liked Godsmack's tone on Awake. That was all a stock Les Paul custom through a Triple Rectifier if I recall correctly.

It may not go over well but I will say that Wes Borland used the rectos to make some mean tones. A lot of punk bands used them really well back in the day as well.
