Mesa DC-3

Yup and the DC5, revision B, or the clean sucks! Killer little amp, master of puppets / and justice tone for days!

70's Univox amps. Incredible gainy, metal panel tones when cranked up.

Agree on the VTM60 or 120. If I was doing thrash on a budget, they would be my first choice.

Crate blue voodoo's clean channel breaks up like a plexi when you crank it.

Peavey Triumph, specifically the blue face series. These were the precursors to the Ultra series.

Bad Cat Lynx. You can find these used in the $1600 - $1800 range - not cheap, but to my ears, possibly the best amp on the planet, and probably the last one I'll ever sell. Fat, singing high gain that can be dialed to be anything between a modded Marshall and a Dumble, coupled with an amazing spanky Fenderish clean channel. A lot like a SLO, but much better on all counts, IMO.

Mesa/Boogie DC-5. 50 watts, 2 channels way underrated and cab be had in the $500-700 range

Another vote for the Marshall 3203 artist! I had one, good tone, not quite enough volume if you have another guitarist with a louder rig but it's loud for 30 watts.

On the cheap. Peavey Studio Pro. Amazing practice amp. Never recorded with it but I bet it would do well.

On the high end Diezel Einstein. Not a total sleeper but a very underrated amp for it's used price. So much amp for under $1,500 (give or take).
