just noodling around with this early 80's Fender Concert that I almost forgot I owned! sort of an E.J. vibe. I'm really happy with these Kinman noiseless singles.

Landau is a God. He's one dark SOB and yes moody as hell. I see him perform every once in while in Studio City at the Baked Potato. The guy is a master at tones and taking simple things to a higher/unique level. and yes I am currently working on a CD around that vibe, It 's titled " Genesis Suite" and is a work in progress. thanks again pal.Randy Van Sykes":d526e said:I listened to the clips you have there...nice stuff!70strathead":d526e said:Randy Van Sykes":d526e said:Yopu have a great sense of mood...cool clip!
I hear adding strings and Jaco on bass.![]()
thanks R..that's a very interesting comment ..I've gained sort of a reputation within my circle of friends ( especially female) that tag me with the "M" word a lot...I do like the drink wine/beer alot and listen to depressing music, so I guess it's starting to reflect in my approach to music. u can get a better idea by visiting my myspace site and listening to other depressing/moody pieces.![]()

cheers!~
Of all of Landau's stuff that he's released, I like his first solo CD the most because t sounds like he was honest and bearing himself on it...lots of nice moody pieces and really tasty playing.
While you are in this moody writing style (IMO) you should complete a complete CD that you are happy with....I think it would be great!

Ive been VERY interested in these pickups for awhile. Part of me feels like if it doesnt hum, its not going to sound right. But I hear if anyone got it right, Kinman did.![]()

i totally agree with your thinking and to be completely honest with u based off playing real single coils for years, They're ( Dimarzio/Kinman) getting pretty damn close to the real deal in their latest products! I'll try to post some more slightly edgy clips with these soon but u can listen to a clip I posted a while ago using the same pickups but through a 82' JCM800.
