I bought both of these amazing Strats within the last month.
I started out with the MIM Player II Modified HSS as it was a reasonable price to see if I like Strats.
I loved it so much I ordered the America Ultra II HSS, basically the same guitar at twice the price.
I love the wat Strats make you work for your tones compared to a Gibson Les Paul.

Both guitars come with 2 Noiseless Single Coil Pickups and a Humbucker at the Bridge that can be split to get single coil tones.
The Player II pickups sound more vintage to my ears, but both guitars sound great.
The Player II out of the box needed much more tweaking to make it play great, the American Ultra II played great out of the box, but I tweaked the action to make it lower and better. One advantage of lowering the action on the American Ultra II was that it made the guitar sound much better, far more like a Strat should sound.
Before I lowered the action on the Ultra it sounded to smooth and hifi, now it sounds amazing.

I had made a bunch of vids of the Player II Modified right away using my Friedman JEL-20.

Today I made 6 videos of both guitars using my Soldano SLO-30 which is a better sounding amp in my opinion.

I will post all 6 videos if anyone is interested in these guitars.
Four of them are to backing tracks, but 2 of them are just the guitars themselves.

For some reason some of the videos aren't coming up, they are on my YouTube channel if you are interested.
