since i store my mojave half stack at church now, i have been using my fender scxd at home, set clean, with the pedal/rack/power engine to approximate my live wet/dry rig, and i gotta say it really sounds nice!
especially since i plug the xd speaker output into my tone tubbies h-bomb cab, which is a ***HUGE*** improvement over the built in fender speaker, and i mean HUGE. but my daughter can still jack the combo for her lessons/practicing and carry the tiny xd in one hand.
and since the xd is lower wattage, and has a line out which you can use without interrupting the primary speaker output, i can feed my gforce/wet cab without having to use the hotplate = less hassle.
and since it has pretty nice built in effects, i can add just a taste of internal reverb/delay to the dry amp which i like.
the end result is great true fender clean tone as the core for my clean patches, and the bb preamp and the carl martin plexitone seems to love the fender and give me two shades of overdriven tone.
