True. I have even went so far as trying to buy anything electronic from Japan, South Korea, or even Taiwan. I used to just run to Wal Mart for socks/boxers/tshirts. I now actually pay a few more bucks for all those sort of things and find that they last longer. I have found with a little research you can find USA/Canada made things for just a bit more but it is almost always worth it.

This is not true. This “design” is a JCM800 with a Jose mod that’s been around for more than 30 years.

So Fortin didn't add any of his own ideas to the circuit? Friedman, Cameron, and many others mods and production amps aren't just derivatives of the Jose mod? Interesting...
I'll tell you what, you find a 30 year old JCM 800 with a Jose mod that sounds like that amp in the video with Mike Fortin playing, and I'll give you $3333.33 for it.

Dude it's vanilla Jose with no add ons. The add ons that Fortin uses on his other amps arre lifted from Cameron or Larry Amps and his pedals are based on old pedals minus some.features. The majority of what he adds is hype and great marketting

I can tell you that I have more variances and upgrades to the amps I've copied than most of the Fortins I've seen. I'm simply honest enough to still call it a clone. Simply changing the value of a cap or reisitor in a non critical place isn't designing crap. I get asked weekly to build or mod amps but decline

How original sounding is Wizard? Sounds like a Marshall with mercury transformers to me. Same with Cameron. How original is it when he stole Jose’s mods? He uses Mercury transformers too no?

Maybe it’s the Mercury transformers that makes it unique.

At any rate, you have a deep seeded jealousy for Mike Fortins success.
