Ok, I haven't spent much time with the unit at all, but here's a clip I frigged around with.
I got the backing track on line. The guitar is the AxeFx direct to a Joe Meek Mic Pre into Garageband.

The stupid backing track has the "squeals" but I stuck some in other places.
The guitar is one take on 2 channels paned hard left and right.
Sorry about the slop but I'm tired.

I take it you have some chorus working?

Sounds great, damn close to the tone he was using.

I was aiming for the same chorus as the original..YUCK!!...lol
I used a pitch detune.

That really got close to his tone. You would probably nail it with big ol strings he plays on. Definitely got the soul of that tone down.

Cool clip! I would like to see one of your HD You Tube clips with a short review. Thanks Mark!

Sounds very cool Mark  I'm glad you finally got your Axe-Fx out of Canadian purgatory too :gethim:

Love your playing! Sounds great. Imagine what you'll be able to do with the Axe after you put some time in. So, is that the Modern with the Blackouts? Be interested in hearing what you think if you try it into the power section of your OD too. Loved your Gearfest stuff by the way. Would have been cool to have the Axe there and hear what everyone thought of it.

As usual, sounds f'n great... but I attribute a lot of that to you, not your gear. I would like to hear the same clip with your OD100 rig. Also, being a knuckle dragger... I wonder if the AxeFX can do the full on broootalZ. Seems like the Axe does the 80s sleaze in spades, but how does it do with the wugga wugga stuff?

Im going to flame out of love. :D

Way too wet. Who will be the one to make an AXE FX sound like a straight up Superlead, Tweed Deluxe, Hiwatt DR, or countless amps that keep that shit real.

Congrats, you've nailed 80's processed tone with a modeler. Im unimpressed.

I always love your clips, that big chunky sound, could you make some clips where you can compare the Egnater seminar, the od100 with the AxeFX, just some raw rocking sound with no too much effect.

Thx,

I was messing around with getting that original Miracle Man tone...lol.

What ??? Not big enough "nads" to post this over on the Axe-Fx forum ? :D O.K., had to re-edit ! It was there, I just missed it .... Guess you got "nads" after all

I think it rocks because you got scary close to the original (effects and all) and you only had the unit for a week? Methinks there are a lot of hard asses here that want to bust balls just for the sake of bustin balls cough.......Telephant.....Cough!!

Just messing with you Brother Shea :D :D

Mark, for shits and giggles, Id love to see you dial in your Custom Audio sound and pair them side by side.

Your tone has always been pretty processed and wet so this clip's tone is no surprise. I'm going with what Telephant said, I want it to sound as good as a vintage amp just by going guitar>cable>amp>cab with no effects. I my experience with it, it was lacking recorded direct without effects.

Fucking Shea

Dude, that is what he was going for......a super sauced up 80s JCM 800 chorused outand he got scary close

You need to listen to Dweezel Zappa's Eruption for that SL brown tone.......scary close :scared:
