I finally decided to man up and post a video. This is me doing some overdubs for a Splawn Quick Rod demo I've been working on.

Wow killer playing man. At first I though it was going to be a slow melodic solo so that run at :39 caught me completely by surprise.

YESSSSS!!!!!!! :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

thank you for being you!

either you got it or you don't and YOU DO!

killer tone (although that peacemaker back there needs to be fired up) and clean, tasty epic technique and phrasing....i swear i never got that index finger pull down vibrato and tried so hard

Badass Curt! Sounded really good. What pickups you got in that So Cal?

Pat,
The Mojave still gets fired up quite often. I still dig that amp. This NAMM show will be my 6th anniversary with the Mojave and 3 years now with the Splawn. What is wrong with me? I haven't bought an amp in three years. I'm going to get booted from these gear forums soon if I don't get back with the program. ;)

Thanks for the compliments on the playing. When I recorded this I was playing it back and listening to it and asked my wife what she thought and she said "it's pretty good". I'm like, "that's what i get for marrying the girl I used to take to see Racer X and Malmsteen and Lion with Doug Aldrich and Kurt James and Joe Holmes and Ronni Le Tekro. WHATEVER, woman!" Then later she asked what I thought of this new recipe she made that her parents and sister and my kids were raving about. I said "Meh, it's pretty good." We both laughed about that one.

That sounds great!
I was sitting here eating Smartfood popcorn and now it's all over me, because I was watching the video and while I was getting into it I was missing my mouth.

Sup RR my slime green brotha?

I've got a Duncan '78 in the bridge and a Duncan SSL-5 in the neck. That's only on Gear 1 of the Splawn which is the lowest gain channel but it's on OD2.

I saw you posted in this thread and my first thought was "Oh great, here comes the what kind of dork paints his walls orange comment" but you were tastefully restrained. Unlike my playing on this

Thanks for the compliment buddy. You're back on my good side, but I warn you, that can change at ANY moment :gethim:
