Flat pedal board with hard case

Been looking for a small 18" to 22" wide , 11" to 12" depth, flat pedal board in a hard case.

Open to ideas; what's out there that I haven't found yet?

What I'm looking for:

Like this one, but it's 27.5" wide, and the depth at 11.6" is perfect.

it seems most pedalboards I'm finding are angled, or if 11" depth or more, they're two tiers with a raised back row.


The 27.5" width one in the pic above is $110; I don't need a touring level case, or spending $200+ for ATA, TSA, etc. Gator has a 24" x 11" for $270 which is the closest I can find to what I want, but overkill for my needs.

I like the design where the pedals stay on the shallow hard case "bottom", and the deep case "top" has foam, and just comes off completely. Rondo music used to make these in a few sizes, but it looks like they no longer make them? No interest in trying Temu.

I have a single row of 4 pedals, a power strip, and mini noise gate which I can fit in 18" x 11" ( a little tight) though 20" x 12" would be ideal, but nothing over 22" wide, or under 11" in depth.

I've cleaned up the cables since this pic. Using batteries for the Fuzz Face and Octavia: adapters and power strip for the Fulltone's

Yeah i was going to say that. It is nice when pedals are facing towards you when you are back a bit.

At least in my experience talking to other guitar players at gigs, having it easily fit in a case is the only reason they use a flat board - because they need to transport it, obviously

90% of guys in my local gigging scene use angled boards, I assume just because it's easier when you are trying to tapdance. Obviously if you have a ES5 or whatever you can get around that.

I'm just wondering why @rsm wants something that fits into a case if the board (I assume) is only for his home studio or whatever

not wah and univibe on an angle. Everything flat is how I did it back in the day too though most of the midi floor controllers had a slight angle.

It's for home use, which is why I don't need ATA, TSA etc. levels of protection.

It's so I can set it up once; close it, move and store it easily when I'm using other gear. I have my Helix Stadium XL in a hard case: easy to move, set up, put away, store...same for my ISP Theta Pro.+ expression pedal.

I'm out of space here, so I only have a small area on the floor for pedals, modelers, etc. One rig at a time. When I want to use something else, something has to move out of the way to make room.

it's a small board with 4 peadals. Having it setup and in a case makes it easy to move, store and use vs unboxing each pedal, getting it all connected, etc then dismantling it, re-boxing each pedal....and having to find patch cables each time.

I use a rig for awhile, then switch to another rig, so having each rig portable makes this easier/faster; and it's easier to store these hard cases on shelves, under a bed, etc., keeping the dust off is an added bonus...as well as moving the cases to vacuum and dust.

edit: when I say I use a rig for awhile, it's usually a few weeks or months., not every day It's why I have different rigs to scratch different itches.

That makes more sense then, I guess i've just never been in a position where the amount of space I have versus the amount of gear i have is at such a premium

GAS + retirement = more gear than room.


My living room has 3 x dual manual organs, two have 25-note pedals which are not small; a 1959HW full stack; a Marshall 4x12 with a JVM410H and JCM 900 SL-X on top; I have an 88-key Yamaha M8x workstation on a rolling stand; an 88-key Korg GrandStage X piano, a table for modular/semi modular synths with a Behringer 2600, Poly-D, Odyssey, mixer, (and I have to move something or open a card table to add my System 55 - the table also has two powered 18" subwoofers under it/by it, with 4 x powered PA cabs on shelf above). Then there's , an amp stand with a Marshall DSL40CR, and another with a Marshall Origin 50C.; a metal shelf with a Bogner Helios Eclipse, Diezel VHX, Engl E850/100 and ISP Theta Pro MSX, JP-2C + two Mesa Compact 2x12 cabs...there's also furniture

There's music gear in every room except the bathroom and laundry room.

I also prefer flat boards for some reason, but I use wah and an angled midi switch, so that could be why.

Creation Music seems to make nice stuff, but I think a used Gator is your best best (assuming you find one close or a crazy guy who can ship it cheaply). The Creation case alone I think is more that you (or I) would want to spend (mine has a soft case).
