I literally had 4 emails back and forth with them this morning regarding my Power Station and Deliverance 60. Whoever owned the Deliverance before me dropped it smashing the headshell and bending the hell out of the transformer wings. Still sounds great but this one is an older model with the choke and shipped with the original VHT branded tubes.

I am sending back to Fryette and they are going to do a full run-through on it and get it back to top condition. I am pretty stoked actually.

Anyway, it always seems so hit or miss when I hear people talk about their support. I must be incredibly fortunate because I generally get responses the same day.

Carry on...

Never had a bad experience with Fryette support. Even just for annoying questions. I think I've only once (out of nearly ten times) gotten a delayed response. People need to simah down :jerkit:

That's good to hear man

Its been my experience that its hit or miss with most every company, music gear industry or other. People bash Eng support saying they have never received a response via email direct, but I have emailed them directly 5-6 times in the last two years and they have responded every time within a week or so. Guess I'm lucky.

I got a response the same day I sent an email about powertubes in a D60.....

It's funny. Fryette is really the only company I have seen people get PO'd about when it comes to getting ahold of someone. I sent a random email today which prompted this thread. I always have the same experience.

Most situations are never as bad as somebody makes them out to be. Drama Queens can't function without some embellishment in some way to stir the pot and make things worse than they really are. Welcome to the internet.

Amen to that. I can remember the years people threw Eurotubes under the bus regularly. I've been buying tubes from them for 15 years and can't remember a bad experience in any way, shape or form. In fact, I've always felt treated like gold, and I can probably put the number of orders near or over 100.

^^^^^ this. Well said.

and, some people just shouldn't own a tube amp, period.

Did they tell you what changes they were going to make on the amp?

I have a D120 with the Choke..

Don't know if they're changing anything but definitely a retune, proper bias and good-health check. The amp was clearly dropped as the transformer wings are bent. It still sounds great but want to make sure it is "100%"

There was a update version on the Deliverance. Making it a bit warmer. I forget what it cost. $150 maybe ? I did not have it done on my amp. The differences are subjective. It is not a major change.

You can also have the effects loop added and a foot switch for the More / Less switch.

Cool.
Now that you mention it, my SigX tranies are a little lopsided... lol But not to bad. I feel for the UPS dudes that have to lug this shit around everyday.

Not to say you're wrong about people being drama queens because you're not, but it's annoying as shit when the dude you've been trying to get a hold of for several weeks through email, phone, PM on The Gear Page, and openly posting the question to him on the forum is almost instantaneously responding to anyone that says something negative about their product on the same forum/thread that you have been PM'ing/posting.

I agree that when you get a response they're great, but they are definitely hit or miss.

Hit or miss for sure. Huge miss for me. Pissed me off and sold their shit.

Let us know what exactly changes if they remove the choke pls

I was playing my Sig today, and it's just punchy as hell.
