You need to grab one so I can live vicariously through you. One day I will have the cash to pull the trigger on a Fortin when they release a model but not anytime soon. I think my next amp purchase is going to be a JJ jr. Thankfully there is enough time until its released to let the smoke clear with my wife after buying an Orthos and an Epi Les Paul.
I know these feels!

Ha dont we all? She actually said "I dont care what you spend your money on" after seeing my new guitar. I almost grabbed a BE-100 after that statement but that would be pushing it.

Hehe... my wife says things that throw me off sometimes too. When I picked up a MIK Gretsch semi hollow I told her its not the more expensive made in USA models and that those run like 2 to 3k. She tells me "you should have gotten those if they are better"... literally messes me up lol. I'm thinking I may go for the Cali and just see what happens.

My wife has me on a tight gear budget these days. I feel ya. No more insane gear spending for me. :(

"Honey, I tried to thin the heard by selling ____x____ on Rig-Talk but there were no takers even with my rocking price. It is just not a great market right now, which means it is a great BUYERS market hun."

(wink wink)

Man I just listed 3 guitars! LOL! None will probably sell...

I'm trying though!

My wife just asks questions like..."when did you buy that or how long have you had that?" She hasn't quite picked up on the tricks of the trade yet ;)

  What works well too is the old buy an Epi and replace it with Gibson maneuver ;) Works with PRS SE to PRS, LTD to ESP etc. Now amps on the other hand....

The old Epi to Gibson switcheroo

My buddy once scored a new Gibson RED diablo and tried passing off a super detailed story that it was a cheap clunker that he had repainted. Did not fly

Looks like the shipping date got pushed back a month to May 1st. The original date above was April 1st.

A few days out and already pushing back production dates.

I am glad I am "poor" right now because there is too much badass gear out,and this seems to be what I would love to be able to spend the money on..
I will just have to watch videos !

We actually did that within an hour of posting it. I read the email wrong and wrote it in wrong and none of us caught it for about 30-45 minutes.

My fault, sorry!

We actually have always shipped preorders on time or early by a good amount of time, so no worries.

Will it be in black too?

Man, for us Canadian's that's $4300 + shipping and customs/taxes, it could be $5000 by the time it gets to your door.
I think I'm out :(

No kidding.. especially when an SD-1 costs 50$ used on the canadian market.I just saved you 4950$ ! You are very welcome ...

I'm trying to figure out how I can sneak a Tama or PDP 7 piece maple shell pack into my basement without setting off my wife's $$ alarms but she is going on a girl's trip to Vegas in the spring so that has just leveled the playing field :P

I already have a modded first year 1981 SD-1 that cost me $60 at Guitar Center, so with my modded 2203X I should already be set
