I'm thinking that people who think an OD boost into a Marshall is= to a Fortin amp never played a Fortin amp.

Also, who wondered if these would sell?! lol the server has been crashing all morning. It's a frenzy!
I prefer a black tolex, but might pull the trigger if I can get access.

Did anybody get an order through?

I’m stuck on the shopping cart page!

I'm on the fence. Can't get in but maybe it's for the best as I can wait and see if someone flips it later this Spring so I can then use 6month no interest PayPal to acquire it.

I saw fortin said he had no plans of doing black ones as of now.
The server is crashing because so many people want one.
I snagged one after an hour of trying.
As you said a Marshall with an od does not equal fortin.
There’s a reason even the Meshuggah don’t even sell below new price.
I don’t play 7 or 8’s, so this Cali is totally my jam.

Sorry guys, we upgraded our server again, and it STILL crashed. We only have a couple left. Really sorry for the hassle.

How does this tonally compare or contrast to Soldano SLO, Cameron, Friedman , Bogner, Bad Cat Lynx?
I’m not talking about the functionality with three channels but just the tones.
Thanks.

Will it be in black too?

Man, for us Canadian's that's $4300 + shipping and customs/taxes, it could be $5000 by the time it gets to your door.
I think I'm out :(
Contact Mike direct - he's in Ontario and perhaps it's something that could be worked out. Seems simple. Mike's always willing to help - especially us fellow Canuckistanians :D

Update' WRONG, a few Canadian customers on the last amp run, took in the poopshoot, as the fortin camp did not release that the amps are being made in the U.S.A, and not by Fortin himself as he previously built his amps from his basement. Poor canauks got hit large on the unexpected tarriffs. No previous mention that production of the amps are not coming from Fortin Canada, and no mention who is building them. Things have changed and not for the better for customers.

I did read that for this run it was being made in USA
I wouldn't assume you can easy sneazy get one shipped from Canada to Canada. Though it would be cool to do, I don't think he will see a reason to change anything (including bank wires) as there is a quick sell out on every run.

I passed on this run, but want to get in one at some point in the next year or two.

It actually cost less on import duties than it did for sales' tax to most provinces. So, you could pay sales' tax, or you could pay import duties. Mike has always tried to help Canadians too. Mike is part of a very small team building the amps. Things have changed for the better for customers actually. Now Mike has help, is able to lower prices and speed up production times. He used to be able to build MAYBE an amp a month. Now you can get a Fortin, cheaper, also because components don't have to get taxed coming into Canada.

We also announced this on all our social medias and had it pinned to the top of our group and Facebook page for months.

Wrong, not true; Followed it for months, was never announced that the mesuggah amps were being built outside of Canada where all previous amps were built by Mike Fortin. Fortin should have been honest with his customers. Is this team you speak about in China ? No mention who this team is, why not ? made in china ? No made in stamp on the back of the mesuggah amps, but the preivous fortin built amps all say, " MADE IN CANADA " . And sales tax and/or customs tarriff are not paid ? Maybe on the moon, there is duties on all products entering Canada ! . All componets are taxed !, Canada is one of the highest taxed countries ! . SO, no electronic parts are available in Canada ?, I know all those people that live in iglos, just don't know how they do it without any electronics. Moving to Canada, no tax, woohoo. U.S greenback cost about 34% more than the Canadian dollar, electronics parts more in Canada - makes no sense.how much is a ressister in the U.S.A and in Canada ? Maybe there is a lot more profit doing the amps over seas than in his local country, especially when the money conversion is about 34% difference, now that would make sense :dunno:  Anyhow, there was no mention that the amps on social media for months were being produced outside of Canada , overseas, should have been honest with customers.

Fortin,

I have read the reasons why you don’t except credit cards. But why payments upfront and in full before the product is ready to be delivered?

Ok. I am not arguing with a fake profile that I have already wasted enough time on in Facebook and on his other profile here. No time for that.

Jim,
We take payments upfront and do runs because that is a very common way to do things these days in this industry. We have actually only had a couple complaints about it. If people want the amps they know they will get them and it makes more sense to build to order than to build 30 very expensive handbuilt tube amps and then go about trying to sell them. This works much better for a smaller company.

Thanks for all the interest guys! This run sold out really fast too and we appreciate the support!

Thank you. I’m not trying to sound argumentative but obviously cautious because since placing my first custom orders in 1990, I have never paid up front in full. Ever.* Fortunately, Mike Fortin has an impeccable reputation.

*Soldano, Fryette, Sadowsky , Luxxtone , D'Avanzo, and others .

Yes sir. To clarify, that was for the guy above. He's made a fake profile to keep talking garbage. I've addressed him on Facebook for about 200 comments, on his profile here, and now he has a fake. Very apparent who he is.

Mike likes to do it this way, and is pretty set on continuing, I understand the hesitation. I hope as we continue to deliver on runs early and/or right on time, that we can earn your confidence!
